Entities
There are four categories of entities within Untitled: player characters, villains, beasts and creatures.
Player Characters
These are characters created and operated by the players, or by the Storyteller as a non-player character, and are characterized by the following attributes:
Strength | STR | Damage, Weight Allowances, etc. |
Agility | AGI | Movement, Quickness, etc. |
Intelligence | INT | Skill and Influence |
Virtue | VIR | Faith and Will, the ability to combat corruption |
Vigor | VIG | Hit Points, Physical Resistances and Stamina |
Villains
Characters, often operated by the Storyteller, that exchange one of their core attributes as below.
Strength | STR | Damage, Weight Allowances, etc. |
Agility | AGI | Movement, Quickness, etc. |
Intelligence | INT | Skill and Influence |
Corruption | COR | The antithesis of Faith and Will, this is the villain’s ability to influence the spread of corruption. |
Vigor | VIG | Hit Points, Physical Resistances and Stamina |
In this we are effectively saying that moral agency exists within our world and the non-player characters (NPCs) may follow the same rules as Player Characters or Villains, each with varying levels of virtue or corruption. Virtue is the measure of the soul of an entity and may therefore either be virtuous OR corrupt, with no way to truly play the middle ground.
Virtue versus Corruption can optionally have an impact on situations by creating a dynamic obstacle; such as a villain who confronts the group may be so corrupt that they emit a radius of corruption, causing player characters s to become immediately discouraged should their own Virtue not be higher than the opponents Corruption. This affects the player’s ability to counter any faith-based or will-based check.
Beasts and Creatures
A beast is a common animal, natural and without virtue or corruption, such as wolves, bears, boars, and other wild animals, livestock and pets. Creatures are uncommon and often fantastical entities which may or may not appear to be a beast, yet are capable of intelligence, virtue and corruption.
Strength | STR | Damage, Weight Allowances, etc. |
Agility | AGI | Movement, Quickness, etc. |
Intelligence | INT | Skill and Influence |

Vigor | VIG | Hit Points, Physical Resistances and Stamina |
Beasts do not have a soul and therefore, while they can certainly become corrupted through external influence, they cannot choose themselves to be virtuous or corrupt.
Creatures on the other hand may have self-awareness and could potentially choose for themselves.
When creating beasts, creatures, monsters or NPCs as the Storyteller, consider adding the total skill points spent to their Health as a bonus.
Entities of considerable prowess, such as ancient dragons, may also add their stamina pool to their Health as a bonus.
